Gary Theodore Jagers, 77, Naranja, Florida, passed away on May 15, 2017, at home with family by his side. Gary was born on May 28, 1939 in Kalispell, Montana. He grew up in the state of Washington and graduated from Everett High School. He was a decorated military veteran serving in the United States Air Force for 22 years. He served five years in Vietnam where he met and married his bride Ut. Gary Theodore Jagers, 77, Naranja, Florida, passed away on May 15, 2017, at home with family by his side. Gary was born on May 28, 1939 in Kalispell, Montana. He grew up in the state of Washington and graduated from Everett High School. He was a decorated military veteran serving in the United States Air Force for 22 years. He served five years in Vietnam where he met and married his bride Ut. Their family grew while stationed in Sacramento, CA for several years and Gary was later transferred to Homestead AFB, Florida where he would serve the remainder of his military career. After retiring as the Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent in 1979, he continued to serve on base in a civilian capacity. Together Gary and Ut raised four children, all of whom admired Gary for his quiet words of wisdom, great perspectives on life, and unending enjoyment from family time. He was a beloved husband and father who will be greatly missed. Gary is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ut Jagers. He is also survived by their four children, Dean Jagers (and wife Trang) of Homestead, FL, Gene T. Jagers (and wife Michelle) of Tallahassee, FL, Mai L. Edwards (and husband Ron) of Leesburg, VA, and Jerry R. Jagers of Naranja, FL, 7 grandchildren: Thien, Katie, Matthew, Ryan, Brandon, Melissa, Nicholas, a sister Marcia Mitchell of Snohomish, WA, a sister-in-law Lisa Jagers of Ocala, FL, and a niece Shawney Menster of Homosassa, FL.



Visitation will be held at Caballero Rivero Palms Woodlawn, 27100 Old Dixie Highway, Naranja, FL 33032, on Sunday, May 21, 2017, from 11am to 3pm. Gary’s final resting place will be at Arlington National Cemetery with services including full military honors to be held at a later date.
